Mining operations need durable, cost-effective buildings — from staff housing compounds and workshops to community infrastructure. Hydraform supplies the block and brick making machines that allow mining companies to produce certified building materials on-site from local soil, eliminating transport logistics and reducing construction costs across remote operations.
Produce blocks at the mine — no transport needed
No expensive aggregates or imported materials
Relocate between sites as projects require
Train local workers — create employment opportunities
Mining companies across Africa face a recurring challenge: building durable housing, offices, workshops, and community infrastructure in remote locations where conventional building materials are expensive to transport and skilled labour is scarce. Hydraform addresses this directly.
Our interlocking block making machines — particularly the mobile M7 range — allow mining operations to produce certified building blocks on-site from locally available soil and cement. There is no need to truck conventional bricks or blocks over long distances to remote mine locations. The soil around your site becomes your primary raw material, mixed with a small percentage of cement and compressed under hydraulic pressure into high-density interlocking blocks.
The Hydraform interlocking building system then allows these blocks to be dry-stacked without mortar — meaning construction proceeds up to six times faster with less skilled labour. For a mining company building staff accommodation for hundreds of workers, this translates to faster project delivery, significantly lower per-unit construction costs, and buildings that meet certified structural standards (Agrement Certificate 96/237).
Build durable staff accommodation compounds quickly and cost-effectively. Hydraform interlocking blocks withstand harsh conditions and deliver long-lasting structures that house your workforce safely.
Construct maintenance workshops, equipment storage buildings, and operational facilities on-site. The speed of interlocking construction means less downtime between project phases.
Fulfil social licence obligations with schools, clinics, and community centres built using Hydraform technology. Our system supports community development programmes that leave lasting impact.
Establish site offices and administrative buildings without waiting for conventional materials to arrive from distant suppliers. Produce blocks on your schedule, to your specification.
Secure your mining perimeter with robust interlocking block boundary walls. Available block types include capping blocks for finished wall tops and conduit blocks for integrated lighting.
Use Hydraform’s conventional brick and paver machines to produce paving bricks for vehicle hardstands, walkways, and outdoor areas across your mining site.
For mining operations, mobile machines are typically the best fit — they can be transported to remote sites and relocated as projects move. For permanent mine-site block yards supplying ongoing housing needs, the M10 Blockyard System provides maximum output.
~2,400 blocks/day | Fully mobile | Ideal for remote mine sites where block production must happen on location. Our most popular mobile machine.
~3,000 blocks/day | Automated mobile | Higher output for mining operations with larger housing programmes. Combines automation with full site mobility.
Produces paving bricks, hollow blocks, and stock bricks for vehicle hardstands, walkways, and conventional construction needs across your mining site. Vibration technology for consistent output.
