Their vision is to tackle the consequences of climate change in Senegal, and their mission is to support local communities on the dynamics of the transition to sustainable development through three areas of intervention;
This made the alliance between Hydraform and ENDA Energies the perfect partnership. The Hydraform Alternative Building Solution addresses the need for affordable, quality buildings and housing by the use of dry-stack, interlocking soil-cement blocks.

Hydraform Interlocking blocks are environmentally friendly with excellent thermal properties to suit different climate conditions, and they are three times more efficient than concrete and twice as efficient as fired clay bricks. ENDA Energies required a mobile machine to make it possible to move between construction projects in different towns and also required a full operation with a mixer, and decided to purchase the Hydraform M7M1-Super.

Secou Sarr, Director of ENDA Energies says — “the machine is part of our vision to promote bioclimatic habitat to enable communities to adapt to the perverse effects of climate change in the context of energy poverty. It is also part of the aim of setting up social-community infrastructure (Health, Post, Schools, etc).”
Hydraform will enable ENDA Energies to build infrastructure for vulnerable communities. The machine will be able to move to location, the blocks will be produced using sandy – loam soil found on-site. Reducing the cost for building materials and transportation.
ENDA Energies are currently busy with the construction of shelters for milk collection centres, building schools, and a demo house. As well as potentially securing the opportunity to construct rural homes under the Senegal government’s 1000 housing initiative.
