En 2007, l&#8217;entreprise a d\u00e9cid\u00e9, sans y \u00eatre contrainte, d&#8217;apporter une contribution significative \u00e0 la vie du peuple Mpukunyoni, sur les terres duquel se trouve sa mine de Somkhele.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape a consist\u00e9 \u00e0 cr\u00e9er la Mpukunyoni Development Company, en collaboration avec le Comit\u00e9 minier de Mpukunyoni. L&#8217;objectif \u00e9tait de fournir des emplois, des comp\u00e9tences et un sens des affaires de base aux habitants, dans l&#8217;espoir que ceux qui b\u00e9n\u00e9ficieraient de cette autonomie contribueraient au d\u00e9veloppement des autres membres de la communaut\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En mars 2011, une opportunit\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 identifi\u00e9e pour permettre \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 de cr\u00e9er et de d\u00e9velopper une activit\u00e9 de fabrication de briques afin de faciliter la construction dans la communaut\u00e9 et ses environs. Une machine \u00e0 fabriquer des blocs Hydraform M7MI et un concasseur ont \u00e9t\u00e9 acquis pour le projet, ainsi que la formation requise pour les membres de la communaut\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Plus important encore, le projet qui en a r\u00e9sult\u00e9 permet \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 de participer activement au processus de production et de construction.
